Originally designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, our reproduction of the Barcelona Ottoman is the ideal companion to any of our pieces in the Barcelona Collection. Despite its simple appearance, the Barcelona Ottoman features the unique elegance that differentiates our Barcelona Collection apart Our Barcelona Ottoman is a true celebration of the innovative mid-century modern design by Mies van der Rohe as it was shown on the German Pavilion at the 1929 International Exposition in Barcelona

The Barcelona Ottoman is expertly made following Mies van der Rohe’s exact design and specifications. Its cushion has 18 Individual panels which are cut, welted, and tufted by hand with leather buttons from a single cowhide.

Top Grain Leather

  • Clean up spills right away to prevent stains and wipe up dust monthly
  • If there is a lot of dirt or grime build up, clean with a Saddle Soap (leather cleaner), with a soft damp cloth in light circular motion.
  • If leather feels dry, rough or hard over time, nourish it with limited amounts of olive oil with a soft cloth.
  • Apply a high-quality leather conditioner once a year.

 

 

 

 

 

Aniline Leather

  • Never use oils, saddle soaps, harsh cleaners or cleaners containing abrasives on aniline leather.
  • Periodically, you may wish to gently wipe the leather with a clean, damp cloth to remove accumulated soil and allow it to air dry.
  • Apply the aniline protection spray and then allow to dry and apply two coatings of Leather Protection Cream. (COLOURLOCK Aniline Protector)
